What you will be doing:
* Preparing and serving speciality coffee to a top standard.
* Providing an exceptional customer-focused experience.
* Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness throughout the coffeehouse, including toilets.
* Being able to work as part of a team, maintaining consistency even when under pressure.
* Representing Gecko’s ethos.
* Contributing towards the overall atmosphere and experience.
* Other tasks include operating the till, basic food prep, opening/closing procedures.

* Is knowledgeable and passionate about coffee.
* Is naturally driven towards providing exceptional customer service.
* Has strong latte art skill.
* Has advanced experience working with speciality coffee and multiple brewing methods.
* Bonus for coffee qualifications, kitchen experience, food safety training.

Gecko is a new independent coffeehouse, based in buzzy Shoreditch.
Speciality coffee is at the core of our 100% plant-based menu of bakery items, toasties and seasonal bowls.
Whether it is our team or our customers, people are truly at the heart of everything we do. Our team consists of highly experienced baristas, who can adapt to a dynamic work environment. We like to keep a small but effective multi-skilled team, who are as comfortable pulling espressos as they are with maintaining the upkeep of the coffeehouse and it's upbeat atmosphere.
