We are seeking a barista to join our lovely team at The Canvas Cafe and Creative Space Venue. A profit-with-purpose social enterprise off Brick Lane, we are a vegan cafe, community hub, and events space focused on the local community. We believe that by supporting local, we can facilitate solutions to global issues.

The available position would cover approximately 20 hours per week, potentially varying depending what we have going on at The Canvas. We are looking for someone with open availability, and willing to work days/evenings/weekends (although we aim to be flexible and fair with shifts). Our operating hours are Sunday – Wednesday 10am-5pm, Thursday – Saturday 10am-10pm.

Your role will revolve around working shifts in the cafe and helping out with events. We are looking for someone with hospitality/barista experience, and who is eager to be part of the larger Canvas initiatives. Every team member is encouraged to get involved and share their ideas.

• The wage for the available position is £9.50. We pay monthly.

• Staff meal off our menu granted every shift. Shifts of 6+ hours are entitled to 20mins paid break.

• We work closely with our homeless community and greatly value them. However, there can be challenges from time to time, and you would need to be confident in your ability to handle such situations (more info to be provided of course!)
