Animal Defense Partnership (ADP) provides legal services free to animal protection charities. We exist to support nonprofits that advocate for animal protection, run sanctuaries and rescues and promote plant-based eating and diet change. The Communications Manager (half-time, salaried, fully remote) will create, implement and oversee communications programs that effectively describe and promote Animal Defense Partnership and its services.

Essential Skills:

  • A strong commitment to animal protection
  • A confident and creative communicator and presenter
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Superior project management and time management skills
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
  • Welcomes constructive feedback and input
  • A basic understanding, or eagerness to learn, the key elements of nonprofit legal services, in order to understand the importance of the services that Animal Defense Partnership provides
  • Willingness to take on projects outside of your “comfort zone”

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Creation and development of:
  • Print and online advertising, as needed
  • Email marketing
  • Web site management and content development
  • Press releases, bylined articles
  • Social media content creation that is consistent with with current digital marketing trends
  • Corporate videos and marketing collateral
  • Work with Executive Director to generate new ideas and strategies
  • Work with Executive Director to draft fundraising appeals
  • Work with Executive Director to draft and edit grant proposals

Work can be done remotely from anywhere in the U.S. You will report directly to our Executive Director.

Job is salaried at halftime, FTE $50,000–$60,000. Hours are flexible, and the position includes generous PTO.
