Position Overview

The Development Coordinator works to secure funding for AAA’s programmes and operational costs. From developing fundraising plans, maintaining donor relationships and securing new ones, the Development Coordinator will focus on advancing the organisation’s initiatives through actively seeking grant and donor partners. Additionally, the Development Coordinator will coordinate with various partners on funding agreements, and maintain the financial accountability and governance of AAA. The Development Coordinator will participate, alongside the strategic development team, to plan ways to increase brand awareness and explore funding opportunities.


Your responsibilities will include: 

  1. Oversee grant seeking including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements.
  2. Develop relationships with prospective and current donors and other stakeholders, and keep them informed about the work of AAA, for example by producing donor reports.
  3. Meet prospective donors and supporters on a continual basis, as necessary, to establish effective communications with them.
  4. Grow a major gifts program including identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors.
  5. Direct the annual fund program, including mailings and annual fundraising drives.
  6. Plan and coordinate fundraising campaigns and activities.
  7. Regularly update the Executive Director and the wider team on the progress of raising funds.
  8. Manage the fundraising database and tracking systems.
  9. Advise on the creation of fundraising activities.
  10. Stay on top of advancements and changes in the philanthropy community.
  11. Over time, identify new potential income streams and create strategies to access these funds.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years related experience required, with a track record of securing funding through various sources and platforms.

Terms of Employment: Independent Contractor, 3 days a week

Location: Remote (anywhere in the world). Our organisation is remote, with staff and volunteers in locations ranging from the UK to Asia.

Salary: USD18,000 per annum – paid monthly
