Essence Cuisine is a dining concept unlike any other providing some of the most exotic and delicious plant based dishes yet to be seen in the UK. We are currently looking for a Chef de Partie and Commis chef at our vegan restaurant near Old Street, East London. If you have a passion for gourmet, alternative or plant based food or want to be part of something completely new and innovative to the catering industry, we want to hear from you.

We are looking to add to our friendly and pro-active team within what we believe is a game changing plant based food experience. Ideally, you’ll have some experience within a busy kitchen and be interested in, plant based, gourmet, or alternative food. You will be a strong team player with the drive to lend a hand in whatever capacity is required to get the job done. You will find it second nature to smile when the pressure is on and will bring the very best out of those working alongside you.


Experience required:

  • You will preferably have experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environmen
  • Genuine interest in cookery and hospitality as a career.
  • Able to think on your feet
  • Good attention to detail


Skills required:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A great attitude that lends itself well to working under pressure.
  • Good team player but can work unsupervised for part of the time.
  • Passion to exceed Chef’s and guest expectation first time, on time, every time.
  • Interest into healthy food, cooked to perfection.
  • Experience across various roles in a fast paced kitchen
  • Can prioritise demands and manage workload efficiently
  • Methodical and organised
