Overview: The primary responsibility of the Head Chef is to ensure the creation of high quality food and customer experiences with a focus on growth. There are a variety of job responsibilities that change regularly to meet that ultimate goal including creating a positive and supportive work environment, cost controls and general kitchen supervision. This position includes attention to growth and: management of the kitchen, including general oversight of ordering, hiring/firing, scheduling, staff accountability and review, recipe/dish creation, inventory, costing, kitchen cleanliness/health dept reviews, quality control, preventative and ongoing maintenance, labor + cost controls etc.

  • Food – Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality standards; Stay connected with the top innovations with vegan food to create new offerings; Create and develop innovative and delicious menu items.
  • Operations – Oversee and manage the daily operations of the kitchen; Cost Controls including labor, food cost controls, inventory control; Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Staff Oversight – maintain positive, communicative and supportive work environment w/ opportunities for staff to learn + grow
  • Kitchen supervision – Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment – Adhere to all health and safety regulations
  • Growth + Creativity – Collaborate to create opportunities for growth including expanding catering opportunities.

Reverie has a small but mighty kitchen team including a Kitchen Manager and experienced line and prep team. We have a solid foundation of plant-based recipes and skills for the new chef to. build upon + the owners and existing staff have extensive experience creating plant based cuisine.
