Bestowed Essentials is a rapidly growing business focused on providing ethical + eco-friendly home goods to help our customers reduce their trash + their impact on the planet. In addition to a curated online marketplace, we recently opened our first brick+mortar store in Rapid City, South Dakota!
As a company, we aim to produce less than 10 lbs of landfill trash per month, and we also partner with the non-profit Ocean Blue Project to remove one pound of trash from global beaches for every order placed on our website. All Bestowed Essentials products are plastic-free and zero waste. Our packaging, if any, is recyclable or compostable, and customers are encouraged to reuse containers before they are recycled. The Bestowed Essentials line is also certified vegan + cruelty-free by PETA.
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about making a difference in this world to be our new Operations Manager in Rapid City, SD. We’re committed to providing employees with the resources + opportunities they need to live an earth-conscious lifestyle, along with a career that aligns with their core values.
Key responsibilities + tasks:
- small batch production of our products
- online order fulfillment + shipping
- in-store + online customer service
- weekly inventory management
- weekly cleaning + seasonal snow shoveling of front sidewalk
- staffing the occasional off-site event booth
- And more as needed
We are looking for someone who…
- Is passionate about saving the planet + is eager to help others lower their impact on the Earth!
- Enjoys crafting and/or cooking
- Is able to work independently without supervision
- Is available for long-term position
- Can lift 50 lbs
- Can stand for several hours at a time
- no direct job experience required, but some experience in customer service and/or handmade production is required
Position will start at $10/hr, flexible 10 hrs a week for the first ~30 days of probationary training, then will move up to $15/hr, 30 hrs a week (5 6-hr days), with your choice of what 5 days a week you want to work (must include 1 weekend day), and what 6 hr time period between 8 am to 8 pm.
