Overview

Our Maitre D’ should combine fine dining host experience, with guest relationships and customer experience, as well as dynamic food running and front of house operations knowledge.

The ideal candidate has a confident grasp on the following:

-Reservations, booking and table organization for a high-volume, fine dining restaurant

-Strong knowledge of restaurant software and integrated POS systems

-Experience with digital promotions, Social Media, customer communications

-Customer Service, forming guest relationships, answering customer questions, promoting events and special items

-Table Flipping, maximizing available tables and balancing reservations and timing of the dining room, assisting in table re-setting, and maintaining the appearance and standards of the dining experience

-Greeting guests, celebrating birthdays and special occasions with guests, setting positive customer expectations

-Maintaining the appearance, lighting environment and sound levels of the dining room

-Lead Runner, assisting in timely turn-over, exact table setting, clean linens, table removal and fast progression of all tables especially during busy dining evenings

-Seating and specials. Announcing, forging customer relationships including describing an promoting specials, communicating upcoming special events, and pacing the flow of seating to ensure smooth ordering rhythm to the kitchen

-Through customer engagement and social media taking orders for and generating interest for catering, new events and private party customers

-Collaborate with the Bar Captain to offer to-go or take-away for call-in or leftover customers, and to coordinate table-waiting in the waiting lounge and barside.

This position is a hybrid salary and tips position, with events and performance bonuses and incentives.
