Nature camp kitchen Hand/Natural Chef’s assistant
If you love nature and introducing children to food, then this is the ideal job for you. First Hand Experiences is looking for a camp kitchen hand and assistant for our ‘Natural Food Chef and Educator. Your role will be to support the chef to deliver the food adventures aspect of the First Hand experiences programme. You will support the chef in teaching children how to prepare their own whole food lunches and snacks as well as help preparing picnic lunches for around 50 children and staff. We are proud that we are one of the only day camps in London to provide a vegan menu offering healthy whole food. As well as supporting the chef your role will include preparing, tidying, washing up, assisting children in cooking activities and serving the children.

Our assistant would work under the camp chef and camp leader to ensure all children are safe, happy and accessing our food programme.
No previous experience is needed as full training is given.

Days/Hours – 8h per day within break. Days can be discussed. We need volunteers from Monday to Saturday. Minimum 2 days.
Depending time of staying and distance, we refund the travel tickets.
If you’re local you can travel to the site everyday, however if you are coming from London we offer accommodation to stay over. Meals, snacks and drinks are always provided by us.
