Overview

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Production Schedule
  • Production Analysis
  • Research, develop, maintain, and manage MRP (manufacturing resource planning) software to generate bill of materials for all THB food products, production schedule planning, and raw goods inventory
  • Conduct time, efficiency, and shelf-life studies
  • Recommend, develop, and implement new systems
  • Manage the spice formula outsourcing process
  • Administration

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform Production/back of house job duties as needed
  • Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as needed or requested by management

Desired Education and Experience

  • Three or more years of food production or other related production experience preferred Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent
  • Expertise in utilizing Excel, database and other software analytical tools
  • Knowledge of food service industry to perform operations analysis

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and mathematical skills
  • High level of organization and detail orientation to maintain production analytics, understand and track production and inventory levels, and ensure product output is accurate
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to work and communicate effectively with a diverse group of individuals inside and outside the organization; able to communicate in a manner that represents THB professionally to outside vendors and other organizations
  • Works with a proactive, ownership approach to work and operates with a sense of urgency as needed to meet deadlines
  • Exceptional computer software experience and able to use and maintain databases and learn/master various software programs, such as Office, with a heavy emphasis on Excel, Google, Access, ShipWorks, and Basecamp
  • Able to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and self-manage work and ensure quality production standards are met by staff
  • Able to work unsupervised and solve routine problems independently, effectively and creatively
  • Strong leadership, management, and motivational skills; serve as a role model of professionalism as part of the management team
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Understands confidential nature of organization information and maintains confidences
  • Able to understand mandated food safety procedures, adhere to Universal Precautions and OSHA requirements related to food preparation and service

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB
Incumbent must be able to:

  • Hear and speak in order to use telephone and communicate with people inside and outside the office
  • Stand and walk/move around the BOH and FOH for four or more hours at a time (depending on operational needs) to perform, observe, train, and manage production-related duties
  • Climb a steep flight of 15+ stairs up to 5-10 times per day to work in upstairs offices, including to view production activities downstairs, to check inventory, perform other hands-on production-related activities, etc.
  • Continually apply manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding, to create and read documents and reports
  • Use hands and arms with sufficient strength and mobility to use kitchen equipment and tools safely as part of the production process, to check/move inventory, to conduct production staff training as needed, and periodically to lift/carry/grasp heavy kitchen items in the performance of cooking preparation, cleaning, and other BOH duties
  • Turn, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, and reach periodically in the performance of production oversight and training responsibilities
  • Able to walk in and out of commercial refrigerated cooler (temperature 35 -38 degrees) multiple times per day to evaluate and manage inventory
