The Development Department is seeking a dedicated and organized Development Coordinator to join our team. The Development Coordinator will report to the Development Manager and will work closely with other administrative staff as well as the marketing team. This position supports all aspects of fundraising with a focus on database management and donor stewardship. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about non-profit fundraising and donor engagement, and helping to support Woodstock Sanctuary’s mission, vision, and ongoing advocacy. This is a non-exempt, full-time, year-round, benefits-eligible on-site position reporting to the Development Manager.
Key Responsibilities Include:
-Maintains the organization’s CRM by uploading data, cleaning data and exploring new processes within the CRM for better organization. Generates reports and lists as needed.
-Creation of all online forms for fundraising initiatives across the department.
-Assistance with building and sending emails.
-Coordinates all aspects of the membership drive with a focus on stewardship.
-Creates new stewardship programs for donors and maintains current system, which includes writing special thank you emails for donors of campaigns, sending out holiday cards and regular thank you calls.
-Assist with phone banks and thank-a-thons.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
-Fulfills all deliverables for gifts such as acknowledgements, thank you calls, and mailed packages.
-Works with other development team members to enter gifts into system.
-Coordinates printing, list cleaning, and letter sending for direct mail campaigns.
-Answers development related phone calls and emails to the general line.
-Assists at on site events where donors will be present, which will require some weekend work.
As this position requires communicating with donors on the phone and phone banks, candidate must be extremely comfortable on the phone, including cold calling-Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
-Proficiency in or ability to learn database management and reporting
-Dedication to the mission of Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, including veganism
-Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
-Experience in project management preferred
-Annual fund writing experience preferred
This position requires standing and sitting for hours at a time, interacting with farmed animals, and moving around the large Sanctuary property for tours, events, and donor visits. Some weekend or night hours may be required as well as additional responsibilities based on skill set. -At least two years of direct experience in fundraising and is required
-Excellent verbal, writing, proofreading and editing skills
-Flexibility and openness to a multitude of tasks
