International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals (IAPWA) was founded in 2009 and aims to provide protection and improve the welfare of animals in need. We exist for the benefit of the animals who need our help and are driven by those who are passionate about providing this lifeline. Our achievements have and continue to be possible through the combined dedication of everyone within the IAPWA Team who enable us to make an impact through the collective action we take.
In order to continue to grow and have more of an impact worldwide for the animals who need us, we have created a new Community Fundraising Programme and are now looking for enthusiastic animal lovers to join our team and help us build strong fundraising communities within their county.
As a County Manager for IAPWA, you will recruit, manage and support a dedicated team of fundraising volunteers within your county. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting new people and is looking to give back to the community. Someone who can not only create a varied team but offer them support and guidance throughout their journey. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge in either recruitment or management/leadership roles and a passion for animal welfare.
This role will include:
Recruitment: Working with IAPWA’s Fundraising Coordinator to recruit Community Leaders with the aim to grow a team across a range of demographics in your county.
Support: Fully supporting these individuals throughout their fundraising and recruitment journey with IAPWA (working to monthly fundraising targets). Participating in your teams Facebook and WhatsApp groups weekly and organising monthly Zoom calls.
Reporting: Monthly completion of a short report form which will include how much your teams have raised and the number of new recruits within your county.
With you at the helm our goal is to create a dedicated and passionate community coming together to help us change the lives of the animals who need us.
You will have continuous support and monthly 1-1 Zoom calls with IAPWA’s Fundraising Coordinator who will provide you with everything you need to get started. There will also be the chance to join induction Zoom calls, recruitment guidance and a chance to meet and speak to IAPWA’s founder and CEO.
Our County Manager role is a flexible volunteer opportunity, however we do require a weekly minimum of 3 hours (this may vary depending on your recruitment success), and we ask for some flexibility as you will be recruiting people who may have full time jobs and are therefore only able to speak outside of normal working hours. This is an ongoing role allowing the ideal candidate to learn new skills and make it their own, as well as offering the opportunity to grow within a worldwide animal welfare organisation.

IAPWA (International Aid for the Protection & Welfare of Animals) is a UK registered charity dedicated to creating a better future for animals in need.
Our first project, established in 2009, is based in Sabah, Borneo, where we have a facility and team providing a lifeline to thousands of dogs and cats every year in need of veterinary care and support. Our companion animal programmes have since developed in other countries, including Romania, Penang, and the UK.
Our passion for all animals has also seen us develop many partnerships and launch campaigns to help other species. Wherever there is suffering, we aim to make a difference and with your support we can continue to protect and improve the welfare of animals worldwide.
