Full Job Description:

MULTILINGUAL and GREEN Preschool in a house setting is seeking for VEGAN COOK & HOUSEKEEPING to work with 2 years 1/2 old to 5 years old children. A person who has EXPERIENCE in preschool and willing to work in an Eco-friendly environment and LOVES COOKING/BAKING & CLEANING. From Monday to Thursday, Friday morning, some evenings, Saturday morning, special events or weekends when needed. French or Spanish speakers are a plus!

Candidates must be nurturing, fun, energetic, EFFICIENT, self-motivated and creative, who take initiative and… HARDWORKING.

Must be able to do the following duties:

– COOKING vegan lunch and serving lunch, preparing and serving breakfast and snacks (and clean up). MENU already created on a weekly basis.
– KNOWLEDGE about ingredients and cooking different kind of meals, food hygiene request and being able to make a list of ingredients that are needed once a week,
– CAPABLE of doing cooking/baking classes with kids once a week
– Taking care of kids ( First aid help with: band aid, arnica, saline water. . .)
– Supervising children when necessary
– Being able to carry some weight (5 gallons bottle,…) and bending over,
– Being able to bend over and down to reach children’s size and cleaning.
– Clean up on a DAILY BASIS INSIDE and OUTSIDE doors (classrooms and storage rooms, school activities, bathroom, kitchen, office, backyard, gardening job, composting, worm farm are among the multiple cleaning tasks) and organize opening of the school and before departure.

– Watering plants, flowers and vegetables, planting. . .
– Some laundry a couple times a week
– Able to daily organize toys, books, kitchen and school material properly and help the teacher when needed
– MUST BE PUNCTUAL, dependable, patient, enthusiastic, flexible.
– Will also be a Teacher’s assistant when needed
– First Aid and CPR highly recommended

You Must have a positive and professional attitude
Please note that there is a LOT OF CLEANING involved.

LIVE SCAN, Criminal Background will be requested.
Health screening, Immunization requested: TB test (within 2 years), Measles, Pertussis, Influenza, Flu
