About International Vegan Film Festival
The purpose of the International Vegan Film Festival is to celebrate and highlight vegan-themed media arts, including film, photography, and cooking cookbooks, from Canada and around the world. We aim to educate, entertain and inspire people to consider or continue a vegan lifestyle for the benefit of their health, the environment, and all animals.
The Festival provides a platform to promote artists of vegan-themed media through our in-person and online events and exposure in the press. The Festival provides an opportunity for these artists to have their work in front of audiences that most likely would not otherwise have found or had an opportunity to view their work.
The film categories are:
- Health and Nutrition
- Animal Welfare
- Environmental Protection
- Public Service Announcement
Our Mission Statement
The Festival’s mission is to: "Be the leading film festival for vegan films that inspire people to choose a healthier, more environmentally-friendly and compassionate lifestyle through the consumption of plants and animal-free alternatives."
