Overview

Responsibilities:

ASO

  • A good understanding of the US, EU & Asia market and app stores
  • Develop App Store Optimization strategies to ensure that all relevant apps appear at the top of the search results in all applicable App stores
  • Optimize conversion rates for app download pages by utilizing various content and visual tools
  • Monitor and track app store rankings using the latest analytic tracking tools
  • Perform keyword research in multiple languages
  • Come up with new A/B test ideas and work with the design team to implement them
  • Write app descriptions, titles using researched keywords
  • Proofread and edit reports
  • A keen sense for stand out visual communication
  • Organised, analytical and detail-oriented with ability to work under own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written (English language)

SEO

  • Devise search strategies and plans
  • Collect market intelligence, including latest trends, practices and competitor advertising skills
  • Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing
  • Perform ongoing keyword research including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities
  • Research and implement content recommendations for organic SEO success
  • Improve Search Ranking, page scores, and content quality
  • Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
  • Track, report, and analyze website analytics and PPC initiatives and campaigns
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.

Requirement:

*Global experience preferred

  • An avid smartphone user who is passionate about the mobile world
  • 3+ years Experience with ASO, SEM (experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo and Bing) & SEO
  • Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data on a daily basis

ASO

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • An excellent understanding of the different App stores and their processes
  • Proven success in driving app downloads, brand exposure, positive app reviews and ratings
  • Experience with other aspects of marketing, such as customer growth and promotion, is a plus

SEO

  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
  • Solid understanding of search engine algorithms & ranking methods, performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
  • Proven knowledge of mobile platforms and technologies
  • Experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite)
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
  • Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems
  • Experience with other aspects of marketing, such as customer growth and promotion, is a plus

About HappyCow

HappyCow is an online service that was founded in 1999 to create a world guide to vegetarian and vegan restaurants. That objective has since been refined to be to assist, "people everywhere to find vegan, vegetarian, and healthy food".
Access is free to users, who can also provide content. From the original restaurant listings and reviews, HappyCow has expanded to feature information on recipes, travel, health, and other topics.

User access is free to encourage crowd-sourced content provision. The number of listings has expanded to over 50,000 businesses in over 175 countries around the world. Reviews of these listings number over 150,000. Restaurants remain the core listings group and are categorised as either, vegan, vegetarian, or veg-friendly. The initial definition for veg-friendly was based on a minimum menu content being at least 60% vegetarian. This has since been modified into a more flexible set of guidelines based on the alternative availability of vegan food in the area. HappyCow's orientation in general has gravitated over time to be increasingly pro-vegan.

Other listings additionally include health food shops, juice bars, vegan friendly accommodation, social and activity groups, catering operations and other entities with consideration for animal compassion. Subscription for a free newsletter is available. The website has well established forum and blog sections allowing users to publish relevant material.
