Overview
We are searching for a results-oriented Program Director. To succeed in this role, you maintain high racial equity competency, are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can work independently from ideation to implementation.
Encompass is currently in the process of reimaging what our programs will look like and we’re seeking someone who can help with the visioning, design, and implementation of this new direction which has been inspired by the Government Alliance on Race and Equity.
As our Program Director, you are a racial equity advocate and will use an anti-racist lens and practice in all work; this includes having both a theoretical and practical understanding of how racism operates interpersonally, institutionally, and structurally, and be able to teach others through facilitation and practice. You will help the animal protection movement develop its racial literacy and support leaders advance this work in a way that’s grounded in accountability.
Success in this role requires that you have an extremely strong racial equity framework coupled with the ability to operationalize these concepts in predominantly white spaces.
