Chicago’s premier plant-based restaurant is looking for its next great sous chef! Althea is a new, innovative plant-based concept by Matthew Kenney located on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. We are seeking a motivated sous chef with at least 2 years upscale-to-fine dining experience to join our team. We value attention to detail, creativity, a positive attitude, dedication to doing things the right way, thoughtfulness in actions, and an ability to teach others and take responsibility.
Your responsibilities will include running the line and overseeing quality of all dishes, communicating clearly and effectively with other managers and service staff, taking inventory and purchasing, delegating prep tasks, and mentoring and managing all BOH staff, among other duties.
