Club Mexicana is looking for someone to join our fantastic team in the role of Street Food Site Manager in our Shoreditch site: Dinerama.

This role will be looking after our East London indoor street food home operated by Street Feast. This is not a traditional manager role! This site is street food to its core…but with some added warmth! Built on top of an old carpark, it’s built out of old shipping containers and is a hidden maze of bars and street food operators. In its early days it was the very first of its kind and is now known as one of East London’s best kept foodie secrets.

Dinerama operates on a casual street food basis, customers come to the counter to order and their food is made fast, with no frills and no fuss, but all the while done seamlessly, presented beautifully and always with a smile. Dinerama focusses on stepping street food  up a notch! This is not gazebos in the wind, it’s all covered with roaring fires outside in the winter months. We’re looking for people who have decent street food experience and know the street food world inside out but are looking for their next challenge and are ready to  step up. The ideal candidate will be confident around food, have brilliant customer service and dynamic management skills.

We’re looking for a hardworking, passionate person with great energy, enthusiasm and initiative to lead our awesome team. You will have street food experience, including experience in stock and people management. You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the stall, for maintaining exceptional standards of food quality and food hygiene, and for delivering excellent customer service. You will liaise with and maintain our excellent working relationship with site owners Street Feast, be a proactive problem-solver and be able to maintain a cool head under pressure.  Positive vibes and a can-do attitude are essential to us.

Dinerama is open Wednesday – Saturday evenings, and the operational hours of the site are approx 2pm- 11/12pm,  so working evenings and weekends is an essential part of the job. The site runs as an event space on other days of the week sometimes, which you will also be asked to manage.

Experience & training required:

Managing street food sites/market stalls

Experience working with both food & customers

Stock management & ordering knowledge

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate

Be brilliant at working in a fast paced environment

Have experience building, motivating and developing young & enthusiastic team

Skills required:

Have a passion for food and cooking, and a desire to learn more.

A positive, friendly can-do attitude.

Ability to provide great customer service and have great communication skills.

Ability to manage their workload – be well organised and diligent, and able to prioritise tasks.

Able to work well under pressure and delegate tasks.

Have the stamina and determination to work hard and motivate others.

Your duties will include:

To lead the site team in producing exceptional food and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Making sure all customers receive exceptional service from your team.

Take ultimate responsibility for the cleanliness, presentability and safe running of a stall.

Ensuring staff are trained to the necessary standards of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.

Monitoring timesheets and rostering staff.

Accurate financial and stock reporting, and stock ordering.

Following the company’s HR procedures.
