Daily Bowl, is an exciting new plant-based cafe opening in the heart of Exeter, offering build-your-own salads and seasonal warm bowls, in a beautifully designed plant-filled environment.

We are an enthusiastic core team with a mission to put a global spin on our abundant local produce to offer nourishing bowls in harmonious and design-conscious locale in central Exeter. We will be launching with light breakfast options and a focus on our lunchtime bowls, with a longer term vision to introduce occasional evening events.

We are seeking a full-time Chef for Daily bowl to deliver a rotating offering of globally-inspired warm bowls and a daily healthful build-your-own salad bar. As a casual lunch-focused cafe, your creativity and adaptability with seasonal and locally sourced produce will be your strength.

The Chef should have strong experience in a similar environment with a solid knowledge of plant-based food and drink. The Chef role requires creativity, friendliness, calm communication skills, liaising with local farms and producers to place orders, experience complying with health and safety/hygiene/food safety protocols, managing and working within the kitchen budget, and stock control skills.

As the Chef for Daily Bowl, we are looking for someone with a warm personality who is creative, diligent and passionate about the food they prepare, and is also proactive in running the kitchen.  You will have an important contribution to make and your opinions and suggestions will be highly valued by the core team.

Hours: Full Time 36 – 40 hours
