Key Responsibilities

  • Organising and managing the operation of the kitchen.
  • Hiring and interviewing new kitchen members.
  • In charge of stock ordering, staff rotas, food production.
  • Overseeing the quality and consistency of all the food production.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to lead the team.
  • Manage food costs and portion control.

Essential Skills / Attributes

  • Catering experience and professional training.
  • Passionate about food and vegan cooking.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to run a kitchen in a clean, professional manner.
  • Must have strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to use initiative.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive and can-do attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail, a good eye for quality and accuracy.
  • Able to work under pressure and be adaptable.
  • Competent knife skills.
  • Good understanding of ingredients.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2.


  • Depending on experience – from £35,000 – £40,000 per year plus performance bonus of up to £ 5,000 per annum.
