Overview
We are looking for someone with previous experience in hospitality to join the Eden Café team as a trainee manager. After an initial training period of three months to develop and improve on skills, the candidate will progress to a manager role. This would be an excellent stepping stone for a candidate with supervisory experience to progress into upper management. You will be a good all-rounder, comfortable with multitasking and supporting the management team with both admin and team management. Full training will be given, but a background in specialty coffee, kitchen experience and/or management is preferred. Hours will be full time, and a mixture of daytime weekdays and weekends.
The ideal candidate’s qualities:
- Comfortable with customer service, always happy to welcome our friendly guests with a smile.
- A good understanding of a vegan lifestyle as well as allergens and cross-contamination procedures as our menu is entirely vegan and inclusive to those with allergies.
- At least a year’s experience in specialty coffee, kitchen management or hospitality management, preferably with an independent business.
- A quick learner with good attention to detail, a good work ethic and an ability to confidently delegate to junior team members.
- Experience with stock management.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Able to start in the next 2-4 weeks (allowances can be made for the right candidate)
