Director of Development Job Notice
Indraloka Animal Sanctuary seeks a full-time director of development to lead and execute fund development, contribute to strategic planning, marketing and brand building strategies.
This professional must have an established background in leading nonprofit donation and marketing strategies and staff/volunteer management. The development director will execute an effective annual Development Plan to implement major giving and planned giving strategies with a focus on sustainable income.
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management or related field
· 5–8 years successful experience in leading development for a mid-sized ($1–3M) nonprofit, preferably in at least one of the following fields: animal rescue, education for at-risk youth, or environmental protection
· Proficiency in using nonprofit donor management software, donor databases and fundraising technology plus social media platforms and online advertising
· Proficient with sponsorship solicitation
· Excellent understanding of best practices in fundraising, marketing, and brand growth
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
· Able to work independently, travel, work weekends and evenings
· Demonstrates integrity and high ethical standards
· Demonstrates zeal for Indraloka’s mission, vision, and values
· Is a responsible steward for the earth and her creatures
· Valid driver’s license
