About the Job – Chef/Cook

·         Chef/cook required with basic food preparation and cooking experience

·         Looking to learn and develop responsibility and grow with the company

·         Experience in cooking Caribbean cuisine is an advantage but not essential

·         Receiving and checking deliveries, putting stock away and ensuring stock rotation

·         Ensuring there is always enough prepped/cooked food for service

·         Maintain control of the kitchen to ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively

·         Overseeing kitchen staff to ensure the food and service are of the highest quality

·         Resolve issues as they arise so that customers continue to receive their orders in a timely manner

·         Inspect raw and cooked food items to guarantee that the highest quality products are prepared and served to customers

·         Maintaining health and hygiene in the kitchen including clean-up

·         Able to work in satellite venues such as markets and events

·         Fast hiring process

About You

·         Must have at least Level 2 food safety and be familiar with all aspects of Health and Safety, tracking temperatures etc.

·         You will have great planning and organisation skills

·         You will have high standards and a good eye for detail

·         Must be upbeat, outgoing, and positive

·         Ability to work as part of a vibrant team

·         Have an interest about food and a willingness to learn and share your knowledge

·         Adheres to all company policies and procedures

·         Thinks and acts quickly and calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

·         Be eligible to work in the UK
