About the E-Commerce and Fulfillment Team

The Physicians Committee’s e-commerce and fulfillment operation provides educational literature and merchandise to its supporters, the health care community, and the public on issues relating to nutrition and disease prevention through the distribution of literature, books, DVDs, and other media.

About this Career Opportunity

The E-Commerce and Fulfillment Coordinator will support the overall literature and merchandise fulfillment operation including inventory management, fulfillment logistics, customer service, and event support. The person in this position will partner with an experienced e-commerce and fulfillment specialist to oversee our online shop.

Essential functions include:

Literature and Merchandise Fulfillment – Orders are correctly processed and tracked in the most economical manner feasible within 48 hours with excellent customer service and a focus on cultivating members

Inventory Management – Inventory is always in stock; the fulfillment center is organized and visually conveys PCRM’s professionalism; audited merchandise is secure and accounted for

Event Support – Primary responsibility for Fulfillment’s support for the organization’s outreach and fundraising events; events have all the relevant equipment and supplies needed to accomplish our goals

Mail – Mail is correctly processed in the most economical manner feasible; reports are accurate

Administration – Fulfillment emails are filed in correct folders; documents, tools and files are up to date; vendors are paid on time so that no late fees are incurred; product offerings and the PCRM Shop web page are up to date

Marketing and New Product Development – Sales increase as a result of new products and marketing promotions.

This is a full-time in-office position based at Physicians Committee’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. (Friendship Heights on Metro’s Red Line).

The required experience for this position aligns with our Coordinator level. Coordinator salaries start at $58,250 and have a midpoint of $64,000. A salary offer will take into consideration education, experience, and skills along with internal and external reference points.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a team member with at least two years of experience with customer service, sales, shipping logistics, and/or fulfillment, preferably in an office environment. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate for this position will be:

  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Skilled at prioritizing and time management
  • Entrepreneurial and willing to work hard, work fast, and work smart
  • Able to lift and move boxes of literature and books up to 42 pounds as needed on a daily to weekly basis
