Looking for a manager for this vibrant new plant-based restaurant in Islington. Our aim is to make plant-based food accessible by offering healthy dishes with a variety of flavours, textures and colours. It is full time with between 40 hours per week, five days per week. Salary is £25,000 per annum.

There are 52 covers, we are open Tuesday to Saturday for dinner (17.30 to 23.00) and also for lunch on the weekend (11.3o to 15.00). We are busy at most times. We currently have a team of 10-12 including kitchen and front-of-house staff. The owners are now looking for a manager, to run the front-of house.

We need someone with at least one year’s experience running a restaurant, who can work at recruiting, training and supervising staff

  • recruiting, training and supervising staff
  • ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
  • overseeing stock levels
  • ordering supplies
  • review product quality
  • researching new suppliers who match our ethos
  • wine, beer, soft drinks tastings
  • dealing with all suppliers
  • explore, plan, and run events
  • producing staff rotas
  • handling customer enquiries and complaints
  • taking reservations
  • assisting with pay runs
  • preparing and presenting detailed staffing/sales reports
  • manage restaurant’s brand/image and suggest ways to improve
  • control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
