Role: SPICEBOX KITCHEN MANAGER

SpiceBox is looking for a motivated Kitchen Manager to manage our Walthamstow curry house kitchen. We’re an award-winning curry house, serving fresh spins on British-Indian curry house classics, which happen to be vegan. We’re super passionate about getting people to eat more veg and looking after the environment.

 

We may be vegan but you don’t have to be! We’re looking for someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude, dedicated to running an organised, efficient, and spotless kitchen.

 

Your role will include:

  • Working positively on your own and within a team, providing consistently excellent food and service
  • Maintaining current kitchen systems and creating new ones where necessary
  • Training team members
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards

 

Skills and Experience

  • Min 2 years in a busy kitchen environment
  • We do not require that you have managed a kitchen before, but you must be experienced with stock control, stock ordering, managing food hygiene and health and safety procedures
  • Incredible organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to problem-solve
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • A kind and fair attitude in the kitchen (we do not welcome angry or aggressive behaviour in our kitchens!)

 

Estimated Weekly Hours

  • 40 hours

  • Tues: 2pm-10pm
  • Wed: 3pm-10pm
  • Friday: 2pm-10.30pm
  • Saturday: 3pm-10.30pm
  • Sunday: 3pm-10.30pm
