SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER: Part-Time Position

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage all vKind Social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok & Linkedin.
  • Manage vKind’s social media interns, influencers, and contributors.
  • Evolve and elevate vKind’s storytelling through timely, creative & engaging campaigns.
  • Constantly monitor social media channels and engage with posts, popular hashtags and join pop culture conversations/moments in a proactive and timely manner to cultivate community.
  • Learn vKind’s brand voice and manage the social editorial calendar, collaborating with the Creative Services and Content teams to create compelling social-first content.
  • Responsible for scheduling content across social media platforms on a daily basis.
  • Stay abreast of new developments and opportunities in the industry.
  • Collaborate across the team and different departments to capture in-the-moment content while keeping overall content and social strategy in mind.
  • Develop short-form video content for IG Reels, Tiktok & YouTube Shorts.
  • Explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our target audience.
  • Strategy: Create and implement organic and paid social media strategies. Platforms may include but are not limited to LinkedIn, Instagram, TiTok, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Support the compilation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that track key social metrics, as well as optimize opportunities in real-time.
  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews.
  • Explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our target audience.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
  • Outreach to potential influencers or celebrities that can showcase our brand
  • Monitoring and engagement: Actively engage with our brand on social media, combing hashtags, listening for questions or concerns, and serving as a first brand touchpoint.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3-5 years of social media and/or related digital marketing experience preferred
    (Preferred)
  • BA degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • Strategic experience on social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Tiktok, as well as staying up to date on emerging platforms.
  • Excitement about vKind’s mission; can clearly articulate passion for our mission and values
  • Strong knowledge of the vegan lifestyle and culture
  • Optimistic and innovative; solution-oriented; showing no signs of cynicism
  • Will be widely viewed as someone who personifies our core values, is committed to them, and leans on them when making decisions.
  • Demonstrates a track record of high integrity – doing the right thing, owning mistakes, conducting oneself honestly
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with people at all organizational levels; ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative structure.
  • Values, communicates, and interacts with others with high levels of transparency and respect.
  • Creative/analytical mindset: Ability to jump from the creative side of social to analytical to prove ideas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely organized with an eye for detail
  • Knowledge of Later or similar programs to manage online postings on different platforms.
  • Proficient in Social Analytics and Bonus points for experience with Google GA4
  • Knowledge of marketing trends and techniques.
  • Experience working with Influencers / Ambassadors Program
  • Excellent copywriting skills.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video).
  • Knowledge of online marketing channels.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how they’re evolving, as well as their respective audiences and strategies
  • Proven experience in all aspects of developing paid and organic campaigns – bonus points for deep experience with LinkedIn
  • Ability to distill complicated content to digestible social media efforts – experience in the technology space a big plus.
