Job Title: General Manager

Reports to: Founders

Responsible for: Assistant Manager, Shift Managers and Team Members

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an individual who has genuine passion for great food and wine. You must have a ‘big’ and positive personality with excellent customer service and leadership skills. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have gained experienced in a GM role in a similar environment. Enthusiasm, ambition and strong communication skills are key. This job will require active thought and initiative. An interest in plant based food, health & nutrition is a strong plus.

Purpose of role:

To manage the day to day running of the restaurant in the most efficient and effective manner, delivering the highest possible standards of service through a highly trained and passionate team, whilst being pro-active in maintaining and improving turnover and profitability.

Responsibilities:

To lead by example whilst acting with honesty and integrity to ensure that the core values of the business are being promoted at all levels.

Inspire your team to achieve excellent results on a daily basis. Develop and maintain positive relationships within your team ensuring high levels of motivation and fair recognition and reward.

Create a customer-first attitude throughout the operation, remaining calm under pressure, motivating and easing your team through difficult periods.

To own and deliver the site operating budget by achieving daily, weekly and monthly targets across sales, labour, food margin and operating expenses.

Be responsible for the initial training of your team as well as ongoing development by providing coaching and support throughout their time with Wulf & Lamb.

Create, monitor and control operational plans for your store including staffing levels and stock levels to maximise efficiency and minimise waste.

Actively seek customer feedback to monitor the performance of your store and analyse trends so that you can adapt your operation best to meet the needs of the market.

Implement Health & Safety procedures and ensure ongoing compliance with trading, hygiene, health, safety and employment laws and regulations.

Ensure the safety and security of takings as well as our staff, our customers and the premises.
